IV. Scholarship Coverage

1. Tuition fee & dormitory fee

2. Comprehensive medical insurance: CNY 800/year

3. Monthly living allowance: No stipend is issued before arrival at the university.

Master's degree students: CNY 3,000/month

Doctoral degree students: CNY 3,500/month


V. Scholarship Duration

1.   The duration of master's degree programs typically takes 2.5 years to  complete, the Master of Business Administration and Master of Applied  Economics have the duration of 2 years.

2. The duration of doctoral degree programs typically takes 4 years.


VI. Eligibility

Basic Requirements:

1.Applicants must be in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Applicants must be citizens of a countries other than the People's Republic of China.

3.   Consciously abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic   of China and the rules and regulations of the university.

4. No Double Benefits Allowed - Students cannot receive multiple scholarships.

Other Requirements:

5.   When applying for a master's degree program, be a bachelor's degree  holder under 35. When applying for a doctoral degree program, be a   master's degree holder under 40.

6. Language proficiency certificate

English-taught programs:

TOEFL≥80 scores, academic IELTS≥6.0(no subtest lower than 5.5),

If the language of instruction in the previous degree is English, the applicant can provide the English language instruction certificate issued by the previous degree institution;

No requirement for applicants' Chinese proficiency.

7. Proof of outstanding academic achievements, sports, art, cultural exchanges, public welfare activities, etc. (not mandatory).


VII. Application Documents

The application documents in other languages must be notarized in either English or Chinese.

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship is available at http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/

2. Passport homepage. If the validity of the  applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement (meaning the  passport expires before September 2026), please apply for a new  passport before submitting the application;

3. Highest graduate certificate  (the  expected graduation certificate can be acceptable, but the  original  graduation certificate must be submitted at the time of  registration).

4. Academic transcripts (from the  undergraduate program onwards). Copies of academic records from first to  last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral  programs (if any) shall be provided. These transcripts shall be issued  and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office,  graduate school, or student management department. They can be in  Chinese or English but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.

5. A valid language proficiency certificate.

6. Acceptance letter (optional). An applicant is encouraged to contact HITSZ's supervisors ahead of submission.

7. Study plan at least 1,500 words,  the proposal of a doctoral student shall be signed by the applicant's Chinese supervisor (write according to HIT requirements. The template is below).

8. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors. (The content shall describe the applicant's study objectives, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future development).

9. Example of Art. To  apply for majors related to art or design, applicants could submit their  own works through “Example of Art/Other Supporting Documents” in the  system. Applicants could also provide such materials to the applied  universities directly in other ways.

10. Physical  Examination Record for Foreigners (valid  within six months). The  physical examination must cover all the items  listed in the examination  form. Incomplete records or those without the  attending physician's  signature, the hospital's official  stamp, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid.

11. Non-criminal record report  (the applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-criminal Record  issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within six  months before the application submission date).

12.  Bank receipt of application fee:USD 60 or CNY 400.


Important Note:

Applicants   must ensure that the application materials are authentic and valid.  Any  applicants found to have engaged in falsification or misconduct for   personal gain shall have their application, admission, or enrollment   qualifications rejected upon verification of the facts; if such   circumstances are discovered after enrollment, the student shall be   expelled.

Application materials must be submitted through the online application system. Materials submitted through non-online application system shall not be accepted.


VIII. Application Process

Step 1: Complete the application on the CSC Online Application System.

The online application system is available at http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/.

Step 2: Pay the application fee of USD 60 or CNY 400.

Step 3: Submit all application documents to Admissions@hit.edu.cn

Step 4: Receive the confirmation Email from the Office of International Students Admission of HITSZ.

Reminder:   The admission officer will follow up on the application via email.   Please check your email frequently—response averages within 3 working  days  (can be delayed due to the high number of emails). Please be  patient if not responded in time.


IX. Important Notes

1. HITSZ  can adjust the selected majors and study duration according to the  applicant's educational background and study plan. If the applicant's  conditions or application documents do not meet the provisions or  requirements, the application shall be considered invalid and not  accepted.

2. Applicants  cannot change the professors, specialties, universities, study  duration, or teaching language specified in the Admission Notice after   registration.
